Hywel Dda University Health Board
Mrs D complained that Hywel Dda University Health Board had failed to provide her with a response to a complaint she submitted in June2022.
The Ombudsman decided that there had been a significant delay in the Health Board’s response which had caused inconvenience and frustration for Mrs D. The Ombudsman decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.
The Ombudsman sought and gained the Health Board’s agreement to apologise to Mrs D and offer her redress of £100 in recognition of the delay. The Health Board also agreed to issue the complaint response within 4 weeks.
