Hywel Dda University Health Board
Mrs A complained that Hywel Dda University Health Board had failed to provide a response to the complaint she made about her late husband in September 2021.
The Ombudsman found that the Health Board had updated Mrs A during its investigation but had not provided its response to her complaint. She said this caused delays and frustration for Mrs A. She decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.
The Ombudsman sought and gained the Health Board’s agreement to apologise to Mrs A, pay her redress of £250, and issue its complaint response to her within 4 weeks.
