A GP Practice in the area of Powys Teaching Health Board
Mr A complained that the Practice declined to investigate his complaint because it said it had answered his concerns two years ago.
The Ombudsman decided that the Practice had wrongly determined that the complaint had been answered. She said that this caused delays for Mr A. She decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.
The Ombudsman sought and gained the Practice’s agreement to apologise to Mr A and provide a complaint response within 20 working days.
