The Public Services Ombudsman for Wales has launched an ‘own initiative’ investigation into the administration of the homelessness review process by local authorities in Wales.
The investigation will focus on three local authorities – Cardiff Council, Carmarthenshire County Council and Wrexham County Borough Council.
The Ombudsman, Nick Bennett, said he wanted to take the opportunity to use his new investigation powers to both support public services and make a ‘real time’ difference to the people of Wales.
The findings of the investigation will be published later this year.
