Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board
Mr A complained to Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board that he was informed that previously diagnosed pituitary gland adenomas (tumours) were not present on a scan undertaken in January 2022. He complained to the Ombudsman that the Health Board’s complaint response referred to a type of lesion he did not have and therefore he did not believe the explanation it had provided.
The Health Board agreed to, within 4 weeks, issue a further complaint response to Mr A. It agreed to include an apology for the error in the first response, a further explanation about why Mr A’s pituitary adenomas were no longer present, and definitions of any terminology used.
